Sarah Ashley Schiear is a private chef + entertaining expert, freelance writer + recipe developer, and entrepreneur based in New York City. Sarah’s professional cooking career began after appearing on Season 1 of ABC’s The Taste, finishing in third place overall. 

Sarah is hired by private and corporate clients to prepare meals for dinner parties and events. Sarah specializes in hors d'oeuvres and cocktail parties as well as fashion/editorial launch events. Her cuisine is New American with a heavy Mediterranean influence. She cooks seasonally and locally, and enjoys food that is "rich and simple"  – rich in both flavor and nutrients, prepared simply so that the ingredients may shine. Her background as a home cook also makes her a popular choice for cooking classes.

Additionally, Sarah curates food + drink pop-up events in NYC. These events are typically ticketed and range from multi-course wine pairing dinners to casual brunches. 

In an effort to marry her love of fashion and food and to further inspire women everywhere to look and feel their best in the kitchen, Sarah is currently launching a lifestyle brand that will focus on chic, fashionable aprons.

Sarah is passionate about travel and  is currently planning a trip to Paris and the French Riviera this Spring. She resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
